Minutes of the May 18, 2011 President’s meeting 7:00 PM

Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with the following chapters represented: Back Bay, Bassholes, Confederate, Great Bridge, Lakeland, Little Creek, Performance, Princess Anne, Southeastern, Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The following chapters were not represented: Backwoods, Battlefield, County, Green Horn Anglers, HRFT, Southeastern VA.

The minutes were accepted as printed.

Treasurer’s Report:

As of May 18, 2011, we have a balance of $2415.73 in our Region account. Treasurers Report accepted as printed.

TBF Federation Business: 6 Man Team Tournament just completed, it was a good tournament. Weights were close to get into the money.

BFN Federation Business: 6 Man Team Tournament , Region 7 had 5 anglers in the Money, Mike Cumberledge won the tournament. Mike and Ivan will represent Region 7 as part of the Virginia State Team at the Mid-Atlantic Divisional tournament in New Jersey in September. Congratulations to all.

Region Seven Business: Virginia Bassmasters Proposed By-Law change to the State BFN was submitted, it needs to be taken back to your clubs to see if you want to support this By-Law change.. We will discuss this at our next meeting. A reminder, MID YEAR ROSTERS are due, at the June 8, 2011 Region 7 Meeting. I will need 2 Copies of your Club Roster with names, addresses, and phone numbers (both Home and Cell).

Tournament Director’s Report: At the next meeting we will hold Pre-Registration for the Chowan River Tournament, One Check to pay for your Club. We only have 35 parking spots at the Route 13 Bridge, all others must go to Tunis. The following clubs are the Volunteer Clubs for the Region 7 Chowan River Tournament out of Route 13 Bridge on Sunday 12 June 2011. Clubs are Lakeland, Little Creek, and Backwoods. Volunteers need to be there at 4:00 a.m. ready to start setting up.

Youth: Susan is collecting plastics and gently used hats again for the 2011 season. The Girl Scout event for about 50 Girl Scouts will be held at Northwest River Park May 21, 2011 from 8:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.. Susan will need 6 to 8 volunteers. Munden Point Fishing Clinic on June 4, 2011, Susan needs 20 Volunteers. Susan is hosting 2 Region 7 Youth Fundraiser Tournaments out of Bob’s Fishing Hole, Fliers were passed out, dates are 25 June 2011 and 30 July 2011.
