Minutes of the March 16, 2011 President’s meeting 7:00 PM

Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with the following chapters represented: Backwoods, Back Bay, Bassholes, Battlefield, Confederate, County, Great Bridge, Green Horn Anglers, Lakeland, Little Creek, Performance, Princess Anne, Southeastern, Southeastern Va., Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The following chapters were not represented: HRFT

The minutes were accepted as printed.

Treasurer’s Report:

As of 16 February 2011, we have a balance of $4726.45 in our Region account. Treasurers Report accepted as printed.

TBF Federation Business: The Boater/Non Boater By-Law change did not pass at the State Meeting. Vernon Wilson is our Conservation Director, he is looking into the Uranium Mining in Northern Virginia, and he will be our voice to help veto this bill passing. New state Website is up and running. The State By-Laws are being updated. If you win over $600.00 at a State event you will have to sign a 1099 Form. The State voted to drop the June Meeting and it passed. Cabalas came on as a State Sponsor.

BFN Federation Business: Region 7 has 11 Clubs and 112 members. Mr. Bass April 1 and 2, 2011 you can send 2 or 4 members. 6 Man April 30 and 1 May you can send 2/4//or 6 people but it must be an even number. New State Sponsors, Pigsticker Bait Company, Bandit, Anglers Choice, Plano, Powell Roads, Glass Baron, Jewel Baits, Rick Morris Rods, Bass Tackle Depot, Ray Chem, Fish Sticks, and Berkley. Sid will send to all the Club Presidents the Promo Code and Pass Code for the Discounts you receive for being a BASS Member. The State’s Youth Scholarship fund is open to any member’s child who is a BASS Member. Mid Atlantic Tournament is on Labor Day weekend, 1^st day of practice.

Region Seven Business: No New Business

Tournament Director’s Report: 2011 Big Fish Lotto and 2011 Boat Insurance paper work needs to be turned prior to the Lake Gaston Region Tournament on 19 March 2011.Volunteer Clubs, Back Bay, Battlefield, Basshole, and Performance

Youth: Susan is collecting plastics and gently used hats again for the 2011 season. The Girl Scout event for about 50 Girl Scouts will be held at Northwest River Park May 21, 2011 from 9:00a.m. to 11:00 a.m.. Susan will need 6 to 8 volunteers.

The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., April 13, 2011, at Oceans East 2 Tackle Shop.
