CORRECTED: Minutes of the 10October 2011 President’s Meeting

Call to Order:The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with the following chapters represented: Back Bay, Bassholes, Confederate, County, Great Bridge,

Green Horn, Lakeland, Little Creek, Performance, Princess Anne, Southeastern, SEVA, Virginia, Virginia Beach.

The following chapters were not represented: Backwoods, Battlefield, HRFT

Minutes: The minutes were accepted as printed.

Treasurer’s Report:As of 10October 2011we have a balance of $5687.44 in our Region account. Treasurer’s Report accepted as printed.

BFN Federation Business:Mike Cumberledge will be going to the Nationals in November, congratulations Mike and good luck. Fall Classic is next weekend 21 and

22 October 2011. The Wounded Warrior Fishing Day, USMC Unit is asking for our help with this tournament. More information to come.

TBF Federation Business: The TBF changed the dates for Chapter Team to 5 and 6 May 2012.You can register your Club now for 2012 with the TBF. You can go online

and print a 2012 Club Dues Estimate for your club, TBF Dues must be paid for by the end of December 2011.Region 3’s Director has resigned, at this time there are no clubs

in Region 3. End of the Year Awards are will be back for the 2012 Fishing Year, thanks to Susan and Craig Owens, Abby and Sid Ryan they donated $100.00 towards the

awards, and Brian with Surface Technologies donated $300.00 towards the awards.

Region Seven Business:The Region 7 Open went very well. The fishing was great and the food was spectacular. Prizes were great and a fun time was had by all who attended.

Mike Bryant the State BFN Director fished this tournament with Sid. Mike said he had a great time and was impressed as to how well it was run, Mike also said there are plenty

of fish to catch here. Region 7 will hold an Open Meeting for all Region 7 Members on 18 January 2012 at Ivan Morris’s Glass Barron Office, to talk about the Regions status.

Sid Ryan was nominated for the BFN Director, no other nominations. Nominations are open and can be made at the next meeting. Brian Stump was nominated for the TBF

Director, no other nominations. Nominations are open and can be made at the next meeting.

Tournament Director’s Report: Region 7 2012 Tournament Sites and dates have been requested, with fees paid. We are just waiting on conformation from the sites.

Youth: Susan 1 October 2011 Kids Fishing Clinic at Munden Point went very well. There were plenty of Volunteers.

Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 7:44 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., 16November 2011 at Oceans East 2 Tackle Shop.
