of the 17 August 2011 President’s Meeting
Call to Order:The meeting was
called to order at 7:00 p.m. with the following chapters represented: Back Bay,
Bassholes, Confederate, County, Great Bridge,
HRFT,
Green Horn, Lakeland, Little Creek, Performance, Princess Anne, Southeastern,
SEVA, Virginia, Virginia Beach.
The following chapters were not
represented:
Backwoods, Battlefield
Minutes: The minutes were
accepted as printed.
Treasurer’s Report:As of 17 August
2011we have a balance of $7539.81 in our Region account. Treasurer’s Report accepted
as printed.
BFN Federation Business: The proposed
State BFN 2011 Calendar is out. You can check the Lakes to see when water will
be pulled from them by going to the USGS. com.
Sid
passed out the password for the Berkley site for your discount.
TBF Federation Business: The proposed
State TBF Calendar is out.
Region Seven Business: When the Fall
Classic paperwork is received form BFN and TBF we will have a Fall Classic
Meeting of all participants’.Boaters
will need to
bring a copy of their Boat Insurance Policy to be
included with the Tournament Registration Forms. You’re BASS/TBF Card with your BASS/TBF Number
which has to go on the Entry Form. NON Boaters must bring
$40.00 cash or check for your share of the Boater’s gas.Brian received
(2) $1000.00 Sponsorship checks
for the Region 7
Open, from this an additional $500.00 has been added in addition to the 1st
Place Payout. We need maximum participation from Region Clubs at the Region
7
Open.
Tournament Fliers have been distributed around to the Tackle Shops and you can
also get it online at www.varegionseven.com.,if you would like to Pre-Register.
The Tournament Committee was selected.
The following Clubs make up the Tournament Committee; BFN: County and Little
Creek Bass Masters, TBF: Confederate
and Southeastern.
Tournament Director’s Report: Set up for the Region 7 Open will be held right
after the Kids Event on 1 October 2011. The following Clubs are the Volunteer
Clubs for
the Region 7 Open for 1 and 2 October 2011: HRFT,
Virginia, and Virginia Beach.
Youth: Susan needs 20
Volunteers for the 1 October 2011 Kids Fishing Clinic at Munden Point,
Volunteers need to be there by 8:15. Susan is still collecting plastics. Susan
has
purchased 50 new rods and
reel from Bass Pro Shop from the money she has received from the Youth
Tournaments. Susan thanked everyone who has participated in them. The
following Clubs need to attend the Youth Event on 1 October
2011 to make your 50% Youth Region Commitment to be in good standing with
Region:Great Bridge,
Princess Anne, and Southeastern.
Adjournment: The meeting
adjourned at 8:56 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., 12
October 2011 at Oceans East 2 Tackle Shop.
