Minutes of the 15November 2011 President’s Meeting

Guest: Captain Max King: We would like to thank Craig Owens for bringing Captain Max King to our meeting to help with the possibly becoming a Region 7 Sponsor.

Max owns Max King Marine; he will have a Bass Cat dealership on Shore Drive. Max has YamahaCertified repair technicians. Mercury motor certification is in process.

Max can perform maintenance on your boat motors; he has an electrician who can work on electrical problems. Stop by or give Max a call at 757-650-3176. We look

forward to having max as a Sponsor.

Call to Order:The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with the following chapters represented: Back Bay, Bassholes, Confederate, Great Bridge, Green Horn,

HRFT, Lakeland, Little Creek, Performance, Southeastern, SEVA,Virginia, Virginia Beach.

The following chapters were not represented: Backwoods, Battlefield,County, Princess Anne

Treasurer’s Report:As of 15 November2011we have a balance of $1477.44 in our Region account. Treasurer’s Report accepted as printed.

BFN Federation Business:Mike Cumberledgesaid he had a great time at the Nationals. 2011 Fall Classic, Craig Owens finished 5^th and Ivan Morris finished 13^th.

BFN dues are due by 32 December 2011. The 2012 Mid Atlantic Tournament will be held on September 17-21 2012 on the Upper Chesapeake Bay and will be hosted

by Maryland. The State is working on being able for us to order Fishing Jerseys from Gemini, cost for short sleeve is $55.00. More information to come on this.

TBF Federation Business: The TBF changed the dates for Chapter Team to 5 and 6 May 2012. TBF Dues must be paid for by December 15, 2011.Scotty Shephenson

is the State President, Tim Mick is the Vice President, Alton Vaughn is the Tournament Director. Jerry Wright is the new Youth Director. Mr. Bass for 2012 will be

held at Claytor Lake.

Region Seven Business:End of the Year Awards are will be back for the 2012 Fishing Year, thanks to Susan and Craig Owens, Abby and Sid Ryan they donated $100.00 towards the awards, and Brian with Surface Technologies donated $350.00 towards the awards. Region 7 will hold an Open Meeting for all Region 7 Members on 18 January 2012 at Ivan Morris’s Glass Barron Office. I will need you to provide me with how many of your people will attend, so that Ivan’s Meeting room can be set up. Sid Ryan was nominated for the BFN Director, no other nominations were given. Sid said he would continue on as our BFN Director.Brian Stump was nominated for the TBF Director, no other nominations were given. Brian said he would continue as the TBF Director.Lakeland and Battlefield Clubs have dissolved. Back Bay is looking for additional members, contact Mike Cumberledge for more information. 2012 Big Bass Lotto and 2012 Bass Boat Insurance forms will be posted on the regions website. If any club changes Presidents for 2012 I will need name, address, phone numbers, and email address.

Youth: Susan thanked everyone for helping with the Youth events and fishing the Youth Fund Raisers..
