Minutes of the March 17, 2010 President’s meeting 7:00 PM

Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with the following chapters represented: Back Bay, Backwoods, Battlefield, Bassholes, Confederate, County, Great Bridge, Green Horn Anglers,

HRFT, Lakeland, Little Creek, Performance, Princess Anne, Southeastern, Southeastern Va., Virginia, Virginia Beach.

The following chapters were not represented: None

Minutes:

The minutes were accepted as printed.

Treasurer’s Report:

As of March 17, 2010, we have a balance of $5196.59 in our Region account. Treasurers Report accepted as printed.

TBF Federation Business: The Last Chance Tournament was explained. They will take the top 2 finishers and they will fish on the State Team.

BFN Federation Business: Deka Batteries and Murphy’s Prop Shop came on board as a State Sponsors.

Region Seven Business: The Region 7 Trailer is ready to go. New sponsors have been added. Joe Glasebrook is looking at the possibility of having the Region Trailer wrapped with our

logo and sponsors, more to come. Keith Webb, a manager at Tidewater Fleet Supply asked his boss about becoming a Region sponsor. After Keith explained the sponsorship, Tidewater

Fleet Supply became a Region sponsor. Any Tidewater Fleet Supply will give Region 7 members a discount on their purchase. Tell them you are a Region 7 member prior to your items being

rung up on the cash register and you will be given your discount. If anyone has any problems you may contact Keith at 857-4324. Keith also spoke to Exide Battery about sponsoring the

Region; again Keith got us another sponsor. We would like to thank Keith for getting us 2 new sponsors. Please support the sponsors who support us. Visa Raffle Tickets are on sale, they

a paying 3 places, 1^st $2000.00, 2^nd $1500.00, and 3^rd 500.00. Tickets are $5.00 a ticket. See Randy if you need tickets.

Tournament Director’s Report: The Lake Gaston Tournament flier was given to all Clubs. Rick asked that everyone be in the water and ready to go right after the Volunteer Flight blasts off.

Boat safety equipment should be checked by Club Presidents. For the Potomac River Tournament Great Bridge volunteered 1 boat and Virginia Bassmasters volunteered 1 boat.

Youth: Tim Mick came and spoke about the Youth Program. Tim received State funding for the youth, if you know of any youth who would like to become a member have them contact Susan.

Susan is planning on having a few Open Tournaments to raise funds for the Youth out of Bob’s Fishing Hole. Again the winning boat will win an additional $100.00 for having a youth fish with

you. More information to come about the Tournament schedule. Susan is collecting plastics and gently used hats again for the 2010 season.

The meeting adjourned at 8:12 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., April 7, 2010, at Oceans East 2 Tackle Shop.
